Is the platform suitable for mass retail motor (RCA)?

P&C is a configurable line on the platform. NewPicass 14.Net natively supports motor TPL, kasko, home, accident with configurable tariffs, CARD/CID/no-fault claims handling, ANIA integration (BCM claims database), bonus-malus class lookup. For ultra-massive portfolios (millions of policies) we recommend a dedicated PoC to validate performance: the platform is sized for high-concentration surety portfolios (tens of thousands of high-premium policies), not production-tested for retail motor portfolios of millions of positions.

How is the CARD/CID direct-settlement convention handled?

CARD (Italian Insurer Convention for Direct Settlement) regulates direct settlement to the damaged party (CID = amicable accident report). The claims module handles: claim intake from the damaged party, liability check from CID form, indemnity calculation with ANIA tables (macro/micro injuries), direct payment, recovery from the counterparty's insurer. Integration with ANIA SIC Clearing House for inter-insurer settlement.

Do you handle treaty reinsurance for P&C?

Yes. P&C is typically reinsured with surplus treaties (capacity for large risks above retention) and CAT XL (catastrophic events like earthquake, flood). The reinsurance module handles cession calculation, automatic treaty allocation, quarterly BDX generation, technical accounts (ceded premiums, ceded claims, commissions). Reporting for cedent and reinsurers.

Do you have multi-channel distribution (bancassurance, agents, brokers)?

Yes. Multi-channel distribution is handled by the distribution network portal: agents, brokers, sub-agents, bancassurance agreements, online comparators. Each channel has access profiles, dedicated tariffs, differentiated commissions, non-accumulation rules, performance dashboards. Producer onboarding with IVASS RUI A/B/E roll verification.

Can automatic online quoting be configured for retail?

Yes. NewPicass 14.Net exposes REST APIs for real-time quoting consumable by: insured portal (self-service quoter), online comparators, agents via tablet/mobile, bancassurance partners. Configurable tariffs with rules, discounts, cross-selling, upselling. Output: detailed premium + pre-contractual documents (IPID, information set) for IVASS compliance.

How is automatic renewal of annual motor policies handled?

Italian motor TPL has automatic renewal banned since 2013 (D.L. 1/2012 "Salva Italia"): the policy expires without auto-renewal unless explicitly confirmed. NewPicass 14.Net handles: renewal notice 30 days prior (IVASS obligation), new-period quote, possible tariff variation, insured confirmation with electronic signature (FEA/FEQ), new-certificate issuance. Expiring-policy tracking with agent escalation.
